David Levine is the founder of Pro Athlete Consulting, Inc., a firm that assists retired professional athletes in obtaining post career benefits. Why did he get into this area of practice? Because he understands you, your needs and the needs of retired professional athletes. How could he understand your needs? Because he spent the first 25 years of his career as a sports agent and sports lawyer. During that time he represented over 200 players, many of which he still works with or remains friends with today.
David grew up in New York and South Florida. He obtained his undergraduate degree at the University of Florida with a degree in finance. During his time at the University of Florida he realized that he wanted to work with professional athletes as a sports agent and he decided to attend law school to obtain that goal. He knew that the law background and education would enable him to be a better sports agent. David attended the University of Miami School of Law and graduated with honors in 1988.
In 1988, David became licensed to practice law in the State of Florida. In 2008, he founded Pro Athlete Consulting, Inc. and then in 2009 he became licensed to practice law in the State of California. To date, he has helped over 1300 retired professional athletes with their post career benefits including California workers compensation claims, disability claims, legal rights and social security claims.
David resides in Weston, Florida with his wife and two sons. He is an avid sports fan, plays basketball every weekend and plays golf in many charity events.
